Hey there!
My Name is Judith Cürvers. I am an Illustration MA student at the Folkwang Universität der Künste.
I am an enthusiastic storyteller working with a wide range of media, from building sculptures out of any material I fancy over soft sketches or colorful ink drawings to bold attempts (wish me luck!) at film making.
I hope to slowly learn, professionalize and ultimately elevate my skills.
Some things about that I have done in my Live so far:
- I grew up in a small german town close to the border of the netherlands, raised by two very artistic parents.
- Currently I live in Düsseldorf, in NRW Germany.
- From 2017 to 2024 I did a Fine Arts Diploma at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, in the Stage Design class of wonderful Professor Lena Newton.
- Since 2024 I attend the Folkwang Universität der Künste, studying Illustration.
Other note-worthy things:
- I have been teaching German as a Tutor on the online Platform „Preply“ since July 2021.
- I am excited about language learning myself and have so far „learned“ English (C2), French (B1), Japanese (I have been learning it since 2022, but have yet to test my skills in an official exam) and most recently started with Italian (I have a course at my university).
